1. Design

iPhone 15 is 6.1 inches in size, weigh about 170gm and is made of durable Aluminium frame.

At the front you will find the dynamic island positioned at the top center of the phone. There is no water drop notch and the bezels are also very thin.

At the back there is a colour infused glass and a little elevation positioned at the top left region that packs two back camera and a flash light.

At the bottom, there is USB type C port, microphone and speaker grill.

Speaking about the buttons, there is a volume rocker and a slider on the left and a power button on the right hand side.

You will find iPhone’s SIM card tray at the bottom left of the frame.

2. Display

Now talking about the display, It has Super Retina XDR OLED display which is highly bright in the sunlight and up to twice as bright as the sun. It can give you 2000 nits peak brightness.

iPhone 15 comes with 60 Hz refresh rate which is the only drawback here. This phone has a ceramic shield protection. Speaking about the video experience, it offers great experience with HDR. The display has a support for HDR and Dolby vision.

3. Dynamic Island

DYNAMIC ISLAND in Apple iPhone 15 is an area positioned at the top center of the screen. This area packs front camera and is responsible for displaying important notifications and the alerts that you get on your phone. It means Dynamic Island pops up when you get any alerts and notifications. So, now you just have to touch and hold the notification to expand that and see what’s in for you.

Because of the dynamic island, you don’t need to go to the apps to check your important activities.

If two different activities are going on in your phone simultaneously, dynamic island splits into two islands to show you both the activities. Like if you are chatting with your friend and at the same time your Zomato order is arriving within 5 minutes, you can see and check both the notifications together.

5. Camera

Speaking about the camera, iPhone 15 has total 3 cameras. At the back there is a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera and at the front there is a 12MP selfie sensor.

1. ZOOM feature – This time you will get 3 different levels of zoom – 2x, 1x and 0.5x for taking perfect shots in different conditions.

* Choose 2x telephoto for perfect closeup shot.

* Set the camera on 1x, for capturing more detailed mid-distance shots and,

* If you are willing to capture the beautiful scenery along with the object, set your camera on 0.5x zoom level which takes photo with the ultrawide lens.

2. Night mode– It gets activated automatically when you are taking a photo in the dark and captures natural colours and finer details even in the dark.

3. Smart HDR – Choose this feature for capturing photos in the bright sun or uneven outdoor lights. You will get rich coloured and perfect photos.

4. What’s new in the portrait mode? – If you have taken the shot already and now you have changed your mind. Now you want that same photo in the portrait mode.

Don’t worry. You don’t have to retake the photo. You can simply go to the portrait feature in your image section and change your basic photo into a portrait one.

You can also take portrait photos even with zooming in your camera.

5. Photonic Engine – This feature available in your iPhone 15 that can boosts your low-light portraits and creates a file that is small in size so that you can store and easily share your extra high resolution photos with others.

This time Apple has provided USB C port in the iPhone 15 and you will also get USB type C to type C cable, which means now you can charge your iPhone, Mac and iPad using the same cable. You will need 20W USB-C power adapter for charging.

Not only that, Apple has also provided reverse charging feature which lets you charge your Apple watch and airpods using your iPhone. You simply need to connect your Airpod case and your iPhone 15 with the USB type C cable and your phone will charge your airpods.

9. Crash detection

This is one of the most important feature that I think should be present in all the phones. iPhone 15 has hardware sensors and advanced motion algorithms that detects sudden change in the car speed and direction and thus, detects a car crash.

So in the case of car crash if a survivor is not be able to respond, his/her iPhone will automatically call emergency services and his/her emergency contacts.
